How is it working?Often the terms "Beginner, Intermediate, and Advanced Levels" are used to try to help players separate themselves in skill specific games. This happened to me this past year as I am currently rated as a 4. Therefore, finding our ability or skill rating is important so we can compete, improve and more importantly have fun. In regards to the terms Beginner, Intermediate and Advanced, I have added those terms to her definitions to help you use those ratings.
I have also added a few terms to those including Beginning meaning the beginner has played more than a few times, but skills are still in the beginning area and Novice meaning the player is more of a regular player, but skills are not quite in the intermediate level.

Shows noticeably increased skills, a higher level of strategy, quickness of hands and movement, judicious use of power, superior placement of shots, anticipation of play, sustained volleying skills, superior put-aways — all with consistency.
Understands strategy and can adjust style of play and game plan according to opponents strength and weaknesses and court position. Hopefully this helps you. Description: A Drop-In session is one in which players drop in, without advance reservations, to play other Drop-in players. There are two types of Drop-in sessions:. Residents including Renters will be welcomed for a maximum of three Drop-In sessions before they must join the Club. The member will need to go to the monitor station and sign in their guest. The guest must wear a guest badge while playing.
The guest must be at least 16 years old to play. Monitors will need to make sure all guests have signed in and are wearing a guest badge. Rotation System for Waiting Players: After the first Drop-in game of the day, one or more of the players should make room for waiting players. Court Assignments: All courts are available for play by any skill level. To maximize the enjoyment for all, players should select a court where the players are a comparable skill level.
If there are waiting players, drop-in games are won by one point. If there are no waiting players, players may elect prior to the end of the game to win by either one or two points. Remember that the team that serves first just gets one fault before turning the ball over to the opponents.

Try to have a few balls in your pocket. This keeps people from having to hunt down balls all the time. If someone goes out of their way to get a ball for you, say thanks for going through the trouble. Most people who come to play recreational pickleball are just there for fun.
Trying to give them lessons on the court can make their experience annoying and frustrating no matter how well intentioned. Make sure you ask players if they want tips while they play. Your behaviour has an effect on the people around you and you are responsible for that! If it is very busy, court hosts may ask players to only play to 9 instead of 11; if there is no court host, players should implement shorter games themselves.
It is easy for players who are focused on the ball in their court to not notice an errant ball. This is a serious safety issue as a player who steps on a ball could easily fall and sustain an injury such as spraining their ankle, breaking a bone, or, worse, hitting their head against a wall.
Some players with mobility issues may try to run for a lobbed ball, which can be a serious safety risk. Some older or restricted players still have that competitive flair. If you are near your partner with an overhead slam opportunity where you may hit them, stop playing.
